Ironically, Kyle was born and raised in western Oklahoma where scuba diving is basically nonexistent. However, always having a great love for the water, Kyle signed up for a basic scuba course while pursuing a finance degree at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. As many people have experienced, he fell in love with diving immediately and it soon became his true passion. Since that time, Kyle has been in the scuba industry gaining experience, traveling, teaching, and sharing what he loves.
Kyle became involved in GUE after seeing the great benefits and skill level from other dive buddies. After moving to the birthplace of GUE in North Florida, he pursued further training and GUE instructorship. He is an avid cave and technical diver, rebreather trained, member of the Woodville Karst Plain Project, Project Baseline, and other regional groups from both Oklahoma and surrounding area as well as Florida. He currently primarily teaches GUE courses while co-managing Extreme Exposure full time. His teaching schedule is flexible offering Cave 1, a standard 4-5 day fundamentals course or a split course as well as primers, guided dives, and coaching.
